Last week, more than 300 teachers joined us in Dallas for Journey, our second ever regional conference. And wow, did we have an amazing time!
The festivities began with 12 meetups in the Dallas-Fort Worth area throughout the week leading up to the big event. From bowling to line dancing to big ol’ brunches, Texas teachers came out in full force to celebrate with us and make some new friends.
On Wednesday August 8th, teachers and VIPKid staff gathered for a day of inspiration, education, and fun. Held at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, this special edition of Journey was unlike anything we’ve done before.
We’re excited to share some big news with the VIPKid community—we got a makeover! This summer our marketing and design teams have been hard at work creating a fresh look for our North American brand, and we’re finally ready to share it with you.
We also heard from the VIPKid leadership team, including Founder and CEO Cindy Mi, who shared insights about her own journey and what’s in store for this global community of students and teachers moving forward. Cindy revealed the exciting news that VIPKid is now offering six product lines reaching kids
We also heard from the VIPKid leadership team, including Founder and CEO Cindy Mi, who shared insights about her own journey and what’s in store for this global community of students and teachers moving forward. Cindy revealed the exciting news that VIPKid is now offering six product lines reaching kids from infants to 18 years old, and will be expanding to 100 countries within the next three years. Even more importantly, though, Cindy shared the stories of our Texas teachers and the undeniable positive force of this growing community. She even threw in a “y’all” for the crowd!
The day included workshops led by veteran teachers and the VIPKid team, covering topics from student engagement to useful resources like the Collaborative Lesson Bank. And, of course, we couldn’t host an event without bringing in a full swag shop and some incredible raffle prizes.
Even Dino made an appearance, making his way to the Lone Star State after his #DinoDrivesAmerica road trip from Chicago. Turns out he’s got some impressive dance moves, as some of our teachers learned first-hand!
