VIPKid teachers “get active and give back” through UNICEF Kid Power.

Today, we added another powerful reason to get out of bed in the morning with the launch of a new partnership between VIPKid and UNICEF Kid Power. UNICEF Kid Power gives kids, educators, and organizations the power to save lives by connecting their everyday activity to real-world impact. As a UNICEF USA program, UNICEF Kid Power has already engaged over 700,000 kids who, together with their teachers and parents, have done their part to help save the lives of 99,000 severely malnourished children worldwide.

At VIPKid’s regional conference in Washington, DC, we kicked off the partnership with over 600 VIPKid teachers dancing to donate. Furthermore, for every 500 classes taught or every 1 dance submitted by World Children’s Day on November 20th, VIPKid, and UNICEF Kid Power will provide 1 nutrition packet to a malnourished child.

VIPKid Co-Founder, Jessie Chen, had the following to say, “We strive to help every teacher and student be a true global citizen. This partnership represents a significant step towards keeping teachers committed to the empowerment of children. We are honored to partner with UNICEF Kid Power to mobilize our teachers and students to work together to give back to their global communities”.

“In celebration of World Children’s Day, we are thrilled to partner with VIPKid and empower teachers and students to make a lifesaving impact for children around the world,” said Melissa Taing, Senior Director of UNICEF Kid Power.

We are tremendously excited about the impact this program stands to have, and to build upon opportunities like these as we continue to re-shape, re-define and re-imagine the role of education in the world.
